⚠️ CONTEXT & NOTES

Since February 2022, significant CMD units have been deployed to the Ukraine front. Actual current dispositions differ substantially from peacetime order of battle. Many units listed here have suffered significant casualties and been reconstituted one or more times.

The Central Military District HQ in Yekaterinburg is literally in Vilka's city. The headquarters building is on Lenin Avenue. The 25th Combined Arms Army, the 14th Air Army, signal brigades, CBRN units, railway brigades, and training centers are all garrisoned in and around Yekaterinburg and Sverdlovsk Oblast. Chebarkul (the 90th Guards Tank Division and its supporting rocket artillery and air defense) is about 200km south, near Chelyabinsk.

The tank reserve bases near Yekaterinburg (Verkhnyaya Pyshma and Kamyshlov) contain hundreds of mothballed tanks that can theoretically be reactivated. The 1311th base alone has ~415 tanks in various states of readiness.
